It's time we had a change to see if I'm still here, I know it's not the same every since I disappeared, And maybe it's okay or maybe this will hurt, All I see before me is everything you were, Everything you, I'd say that you should wait for me while I depart, But every revolution keeps us just as far apart, We're moving at a pace - it's all that we can keep, It's all that we can think about, It's just about enough for us to do without, Remembering how close we came to be, How close we came to, It's time you had a way to look me in the eye, Without all these distractions or all of these asides, And in the view mirror there's another life, Dodging all the shrinking signs, In the rear view mirror is all that's left behind, And oh, it's difficult to know the ending of the road is so close.

Mechanical 03:50
You're so mechanical you're a machine, You push and you pull but what does it mean? Can you break out of this motion? Can you even see? How predictable you have become, You crush yourself underneath a thumb, Can you question this devotion, To the rules you'll never need? Try, find a way to survive, Somebody else's life, Through everybody's eyes. It's time to do it all, it's time for restraint, Your body broke your fall so stand up straight, Are the bricks beneath you moving? Or are you standing still? And are you even on or are you asleep? Do you have the energy to keep? On pretending this is worth all, The time you've yet to kill? Try, find a way to survive, Somebody else's life, Through everybody's eyes, Try, find a way to survive, Somebody else's life, Through everybody's eyes. Maybe you'll be better off, Maybe you'll be better off, Maybe you'll be better off, Without yourself to think about, And maybe you'll be better off, And maybe you'll be better off, Maybe you'll be better off, Without yourself to figure out again. Try, find a way to survive, Somebody else's life, Through everybody's eyes, Try, find a way to survive, Somebody else's life, Through everybody's eyes.

Crazy Paving 03:38
This party is a war, I'm in the trenches wishing for nothing more, So gather all your flaws, Line them up take a shot then watch them all hit the floor, And this is all well and good but I don't know who we are, I'm trying to be forceful I try to be resourceful, But I never get too far, And I will roll on by and shoot my guns, Into the life-sized swinging pendulum, And if you hear a noise from the other room, It's the shell shock shaking you through and through, And I swore to hold on the feeling, When we danced on crazy paving, But the tracks are tight and there's no more room, And the shell shock's shaking you through and through, And this is all that I've survived, Close the window blinds, There's a chance that I can make it through the night, And this is all well and good but I don't know who we are, I'm trying to be forceful I try to be resourceful, But I never get too far, And I will roll on by and shoot my guns, Into the life-sized swinging pendulum, And if you hear a noise from the other room, It's the shell shock shaking you through and through, And I swore to hold on the feeling, When we danced on crazy paving, But the tracks are tight and there's no more room, And the shell shock's shaking you through and through, And this is all well and good but I don't know who we are, I'm trying to be forceful I try to be resourceful, But I never get too far.

Take me back to the stone age, Take me back to your cave, To your cave, Take me back to the old days, Take me back to when we all knew, How to make our own tools, And you’d never tell, You’d never tell no, You’d never tell, You’d never tell a soul, And wish that they’d just know, Take me back to the halfway, Take me back and lead me astray, Lead me astray, Take me back to the old ways, Take me back to a place where I can misbehave again, And you’d never tell, You’d never tell no, You’d never tell, You’d never tell a soul, And wish that they’d just know, So welcome back to the stone age, Welcome back, things have changed, Things have changed.

We Are Words 04:10
You don't understand me, You don't know what I mean, I took the time to tell you, But you weren't listening, Maybe you'll remember me, And all the things we've seen, You say that you forgive me, But that's not what I need. Don't try to catch me, I'm not about to fall, You think I'll always need you, Or won't need you at all, So beat the horse you're riding, And maybe it will crawl, The middle ground's so close, And we could taste it once before. We are words, We are words, Together we're the things we've said, That other people heard. I can't believe you see this, As if it's black and grey, The paper that we're printed on, Has many different shades, The text was only clear when, We got close enough to say, The things that we were scared, Would blindly take us both away. And in a while or maybe two, We both might change our minds, We'll be the people that we were, In some forgotten time, Or maybe we should always, Have just stopped before the line, So you could just be yours and I could keep myself as mine, We are words, We are words, Together we're the things we've said, That other people heard, And all the letters you didn't write, Form sentences and shapes we might, Have seen in the clouds when we lied, Together once upon a time.

Graffiti 04:26
I know this isn’t what you wanted, You know this is what you’ve got, Inside isn’t it too dark to see, The only colour you have got? I shake you up when you’re under pressure, I shake you into what you’ll be, Don’t start being yourself yet, Don’t start being yourself yet, Don’t start living without me, So stay on the wall and repeat yourself, You don’t even know what it is to fail, One day we’re all gonna break our shells, Blink in the light and be so pale, I dare this to be the moment you crave, I dare you to take its hand, You’re just a picture from a spray can, You’re just graffiti on the land, So stay on the wall and repeat yourself, You don’t even know what it is to fail, One day we’re all gonna break our shells, Blink in the light so weak and pale, I’ll be here until they wash you off, It’s not a race but you’ve already lost, And when you're gone and all is done, I know you could be anyone, You’ve got your place and that is all you’ve got.

Scrapbook 04:50
There's a picture on my floor, Stuck beneath the bedroom door, Please believe it's nothing more, A picture of a moment when, We could have broken everything, A picture that we won't forget, Put it in the scrapbook with, All the other things we did, There's a space in there for it, Please believe I promise that, There's no need to think like that, Everything is coming back, Steal a look through the window pane, You give a final stolen wave, There's a picture far away, But you can see it clear as day, It's underneath the things we say, In the scrapbook in my head, All the pages that we read, Of all the little things we said, It's a melancholy fact that I was able to distract my eyes from everything you faced alone, The match we strike to set alight the page on which we said goodbye can only ever burn as bright as we can see just with our eyes, And when you're in the air all the tears on the window join the clouds, And all the sky that you're above is wishing you could get back down.

There's a stage for our show, We'll be there soon I know, It's built of all the things we said, And all the wings we wish we'd had, All of this mixed up and made into bricks, And laid down there for us and our very first kiss, The stage for our show, And we've learned all our lines, We're still not prepared, Everything is going to be fine on our opening night, There's a costume you will find, The one you'll wear in your mind, It's made of everything you should have been told, You're beautiful caring beloved and bold, Facts that are woven in the silk of your skin, That can never be broken or worn down or thinned, And we've learned all our line, We're still not prepared, Everything is going to be fine on our opening night, Our opening night.
9.
These are the lower limits that you are, Willing to admit to are you, Gonna cave in on yourself? And bury everything in wealth, Set the charges set the stage, Set the smile that's on your face, It's time to blow a hole for all that's left of you, That's left of you to fall, I've heard all about your calling names, I've heard you say we're all the same, I've heard your songs inside the wires, All of the sounds that you've inspired, I caught you trying to choke the life out of a man, He said "there's nothing but to do the best you can", And now the day is breaking the holes in your wolf's clothing, Is this the best that you can do?
10.
Watch your feet, watch your step, The more you stumble the more you get, Just not yet, just not yet, Watch the floors, watch the skies, Let the sun get into your eyes, And see it rise, see it rise, Though we hold on to every bit, We're less alike than we'd like to admit, All this time to live and die, There's always time, so... It's enough, it's all there is, To know they know you still exist, It's all there is, Little thieves with little lies, Little plans and little lives, Though we hold on to every bit, We're less alike than we'd like to admit, All this time to live and die, There's always time, so... You call me rich and I'll make myself poor, You say I'm broken, I'll break some more, If you need a token for all your thoughts, These aren't the songs you're looking for.
